About zach

Zach Rovito is a Western Pennsylvania born musician with roots in rock, blues, and country music. From an early age, Zach was exposed to music's greatest offerings through his dad and grandma along with spending weekend mornings glued to the CMT Top 20 Countdown. Starting on the trumpet in the school band, Zach would eventually find the main conduit for his artistic expression in the guitar. Playing in bands with his dad as well as bands with friends from school prepared him to go out into the world of the hired gun. Performing with local songwriters such as Don Shearer in Anger The Ant, Cook McKoy in Dinnerbell Road, Utah Burgess and Jenifer Lynn Baker in Noble Hops and Jay Wiley in The Hawkeyes led to the inspiration for Zach to ultimately put pen to paper and write songs of his own, eventually leading to a solo project, The Rust Belt Rhythm. Eventually the solo project became a group effort and was renamed The Ragged Co. with whom Zach released The Grant Ave Sessions EP. The EP would feature the band's debut single, The Rust Belt Rhythm, earning them the 2025 Grassy Award from The Rock Station 97.7 FM. The Ragged Co. is in full force, expanding out as far as the road will take them and preparing new material to be released. 2025 also saw The Hawkeyes reunite, with Zach playing a role in it's new four guitar army. Zach has kept a busy schedule with both bands along with working as a guitar-for-hire backing solo artists, filling in with local bands and churches as well as performing as a solo acoustic act. His favorite job and greatest purpose yet is being a husband to his incredible wife Jessica and father to their two beautiful kids.
